The Challeano pepper is perfect for those looking for something very hot but with a nice citrusy flavor palette. Resembling other pendant-shaped peppers, Challeanos are a favorite commonly used to spice up fresh foods.

Reaching up to 3 ft. tall, these pepper plants are highly productive, producing heavy yields of 4 long fruits shaped like miniature pendants and bearing semi-wrinkled skin. Challeano peppers mature from their original pale to yellow-green, to their mature reddish-pink color.

Challeanos have the perfect crunchy texture to use in fresh foods, but only if you can withstand their fiery heat! Once you get past that, youll enjoy the delightfully fruity flavors of citrus and berry overtones. Their juicy flesh makes Challeano peppers great chopped up into fresh foods or salsa, made into a fruity and fiery homemade sauce, or even dried into a nice pepper powder!
