Do not let the temperature drop below 12C. Light: Full sun or partial sun are perfect for this plant. Do not put in an area of low light as it will hinder growth. Ideally, this plant would be in a south-facing window with a minimum of 4-6 hours of full sun per day. Watering: Keep the soil moist for this plant during the growing season. Do not allow the plant to fully dry out. Water once the top 1-2 inches of the soil is dry. During the winter the plant will be dormant, so watering can be done less frequently. Banana plants will also benefit from extra humidity. This can be provided by a pebble tray or misting. However, any type of soil will work as long as it is kept moist.
