This adaptable cypress grows slowly in dry environments, reaching 12-15 ft tall over time, and more quickly where water is more plentiful, reaching a possible 50 ft tall — a handsome evergreen tree of any size with layered branches and gray bark. Prefers lean, well-drained soil but tolerates a wide range of soils; also tolerates summer drought and accepts occasional summer water.
