Use this simple sun loving combo of plants to get season long interest with minimal deer disturbance. This recipe matches fine foliage textures of varying colors and successive bloom times. Cats Pajamas Nepeta will get things going in late spring with long spikes of purple-blue flowers. Cutting back after bloom will ensure rebloom through the rest of the year. Serendipity Allium will come next in midsummer, with globes of rosy purple flowers that will turn into decorative seedheads by fall. PYROMANIA Red Hot Poker support the recipe with grass-like foliage to start the season, before adding tall flower spikes in midsummer.
