• Pruning: Remove any suckers or side shoots to encourage the main stems growth and improve air circulation.
• Pest and Disease Control: Monitor the plant regularly for common pests like aphids and caterpillars. Use organic insecticides or insecticidal soaps if necessary. Watch out for diseases like powdery mildew and treat promptly.
• Harvesting: Harvest the fruits when they reach their full size and have a glossy appearance. Use a sharp knife or pruning shears to cut the fruits from the plant.

Planting Instructions

Follow these planting instructions to ensure successful growth of your Sicilian Eggplant:

1. Location: Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-drained soil.
2. Soil Preparation: Amend the soil with organic matter, such as compost, to improve its fertility and drainage.
3. Planting: Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball of the plant. Place the plant in the hole, ensuring that the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface.
4. Spacing: Space the plants 2-3 feet apart to allow for proper air circulation and growth.
5. Watering: Water the plant thoroughly after planting to settle the soil around the roots.
6. Mulching: Apply a layer of organic mulch around the plant to conserve moisture and suppress weed growth.
