Epiphyllum anguliger is an eye-catching jungle cactus known for its deeply zigzagged stems that resemble a fish skeleton, giving it its famous Fishbone Cactus nickname. Unlike desert cacti, this epiphytic species naturally grows in tropical forests where it climbs trees and enjoys filtered light and humidity. Its cascading foliage makes it perfect for hanging planters, shelves, or anywhere the dramatic stems can spill freely. Place it in bright indirect light, avoiding prolonged harsh afternoon sun which can scorch the foliage. Water when the top half of the soil feels dry, keeping the mix lightly moist but never soggy. This plant thrives in warm temperatures between 1829C and appreciates extra humidity for lush growth and flowering potential. With the right care, mature plants may reward you with large, fragrant nighttime blooms that make this unusual cactus even more unforgettable.
