Prunus laur. Genolia

Prunus laurocerasus ‘Genolia’ is a slim, upright evergreen cherry laurel ideal for narrow, spacesaving hedges and screens. Glossy green leaves form a dense, yearround barrier, and upright clusters of small white flowers appear in spring (typically April to May). It thrives in sun or shade on most soils, including chalk and clay, and is fully hardy. In time, an established hedge will usually reach around 34m in height with a natural spread of about 11.5m if left unclipped.

Feeding time: Spring (apply a light general-purpose feed and mulch if needed) Trimming time: Late summer (after flowering) for a neat, even hedge

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
