The Alpine Strawberrys popularity stems from the fact that we all enjoy those sweet, juicy, old-fashioned little fruits. When immediately matched with a bright red colour, you may be surprised to find a pale, yellowcreamy white version. White strawberries were first discovered as a natural mutation in the wild woods east of Grenoble in the low Alps and then selected for their skin colour while retaining the sweet loveliness of the taste somehow with tropical notes of guava and pineapple. White Soul is one of those improved varieties: whether eaten raw or cooked, they will always provide the same joy as their red cousin; try a white and red mix for a wow effect.
