Tulbaghia ‘John Mays Special’ is a striking, drought tolerant perennial with bold purple flowers accented by white centres, blooming continuously from June to November. Reaching up to 80cm tall, this variety brings vibrant colour and a delicate garlic like fragrance to borders and containers alike.

Easy to grow and likely a hybrid of Tulbaghia violacea and Tulbaghia fragrans, it’s a top choice for sunny spots where prolonged flowering and resilience are desired. Its upright habit, graceful stems, and scented foliage make it both ornamental and practical in wildlife friendly and Mediterranean style gardens.
